One of their first assignments was learning about servicing scuba tanks. They were trained in the use of the Hydrostatic testing center and the Visual Eddy inspection process. Below are a couple of pictures of the protege's hard at work!

To become a member of the Mentor Program
In order to qualify, the candidate must be:
¨
Age 18 or over
¨
Certified as Advanced Open Water or higher
¨
Able to dive in Florida or Illinois if needed
¨
Have a neat appearance and be a non-smoker
The protégé will learn all facets of the Scuba industry while
assisting Patrick &
Sherry
Hammer and the Scuba
Emporium team two days a month.
The goal of
the
program is to prepare the protégé for a career in the Scuba
industry. They will get exposure to sales & marketing, retail
operations, management, teaching and resort operations.
